Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
When a Sunset Strip liquor store is held-up, inexperienced undercover Officer Paul Culver (Kent McCord) is accused of the crime in this episode of Dragnet. As Sgt. Joe Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) begin their interrogation, Culver's is unable to keep his story straight as he grows increasingly frustrated that his word is not being taken at face value. Following a heated grilling by Friday and Gannon, a criminal bearing a striking resemblance to Culver is arrested after a similar liquor store robbery in the same vicinity. McCord went on the star as Officer Jim Reed in the series Adam-12, which Webb created and produced.
