Familiar Dragnet supporting player Vic Perrin goes into his patented snivelling-weasel act as shady jeweler Ernest Garvey. Brought in for questioning after a big diamond robbery, Garvey strenuously protests his innocence to Sergeants Friday (Jack Webb) and Jacobs (Barney Phillips). But with admirable patience, the two detectives reveal that they already know the truth thanks to some meticulously accumulated electronic surveillance (which in the post-Earl Warren era would undoubtedly be thrown out of court as inadmissable!) This episode is based on a Dragnet radio play first heard on February 14, 1952.
