Eleven food markets have been held up in the past three weeks; there's clearly a pattern, but the police have trouble figuring it out. A break in the case finally comes when a young thief is caught in the act. Friday (Jack Webb) and Smith (Ben Alexander) think they've gotten their man--but the thief insists he knows nothing about the previous ten holdups, and he claims he can prove it. This Dragnet TV episode is based on a radio broadcast of October 25, 1951.
