Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work during the Vietnam War as chairman of the Vietnamese Peace Delegation, Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh now lives in exile in France. This is the setting for the illuminating interview conducted by Noel Fox, who allows Thich Nhat Hanh the space to develop thoughtful explanations of his deep understanding of mindfulness and compassion. From his obvious calm-centered nature Hanh expounds on cognitive shifts available to the individual that can allow an experience that once would have been filled with frustration to take on a positive character.
