Synopsis by Tim Holland
An overweight 15-year-old girl named Irene Willis (Michelle McLeod) dreams of becoming a high-school cheerleader, but gets suspended and must perform two weeks of community service at a retirement home. There, she tries to turn the elderly residents into an unlikely dance troupe. Along the way, Irene is mentored by Geena Davis, who speaks to her from the A League of Their Own poster on her bedroom wall. Bruce Gray, Anastasia Phillips, and Scott Thompson co-star. Written and directed by Pat Mills.
