In the third episode of the four-part story "The Claws of Axos," the Doctor believes he can prevent the depletion of the earth's nourishment at the hands of the visitors from Axos. He is even guardedly confident that he can stop the Time Lord (Roger Delgado) from stealing his time-travel secrets. Unfortunately, the Doctor may not be able to rescue the citizens of earth from their worst enemies -- themselves.
