The program showed the viewer how to select the "right" roses for that viewer's city, climate, and home, and also offered a rundown of proper-care techniques and comparative prices. Hosted by Maureen "Mo" Gilmer, who also helmed DIY's Weekend Gardening, DIY Growing Roses premiered August 11, 2003.
