Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A soldier sent back home to recuperate after being injured in the Iraqi War is slowly drawn out of his shell by his beautiful, suicidal neighbor. Tim Lawson nearly died while serving his country, and now as he returns to his quiet resort home on the Jersey shore to convalesce, he's determined to keep the world at a distance. Holing himself up in his tiny beach apartment, Tim finds his fortified wall of protection crumbling at the feet of Claire O'Neil, a withdrawn neighbor who has suffered a devastating loss. Claire won't discuss the details of her life-altering trauma, and her wounded gaze casts a strange spell over Tim. They've both lived though hell and come out alive on the other side, and that connection bonds them together. As Claire and Tim's relationship grows, a light appears at the end of their dark tunnel. But the war in Iraq is far from over, a grim fact that may soon threaten Claire and Tim's last shot at true happiness.
