Description by Studio

The film is a series of character-driven portraits of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. It’s a documentary that captures the moment-to-moment uncertainty and endless instability of life on the streets. Immersive and intimate, highlighting issues of displacement, affordable housing, addiction, consumerism, and sanitation, DISCO’D examines the nature and complexities of homelessness.

Siretta and his producing partner, Sam Mantell, live in Los Angeles and spent four years making the film about our homeless crisis. Their encounters with their many subjects, led them beyond Skid Row and to the streets of Hollywood, where they met Julie, a middle-aged female poet, and other local vicinities.
