The West German Die Alleinseglerin stars Christina Powilet and Johanna Schall. The ladies are among the passengers of an excursion boat, all of whom are weighed down with the problems of the world. As the boat lugubriously sails from here to there, the two go on their own internal journey of self-discovery. This Bergmanesque character study was directed by Hermann Zschoche, whose best-known work is 1983's Swan Island. As of this writing, no English-dubbed version of Die Alleinseglerin is available.
