Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
Dick Johnson Is Dead is a film by documentary cinematographer Kirsten Johnson that centers on her psychiatrist father, Dick Johnson, and their family's adjustment to his declining health. With good-natured humor that characterizes their relationship, the father-daughter duo explores the many ways the patriarch could pass, all of which are comically staged—an air conditioner falling on his head, falling down the stairs, being struck in the neck and bleeding out, and many more.
