Magic Uncle Fergel O'Reilly is coming to visit from Ireland, and everyone in the household is excited -- except Dexter. Dexter still clearly remembers his disappointment as a young boy when he discovered that Magic Uncle Fergel O'Reilly's magic was all fake. Ever since that moment, Dexter has spurned magic, instead embracing science. Angry that Dee Dee believes in magic, Dexter uses science to make her disappear, and then can't figure out how to make her reappear -- forcing him to rely on his uncle's magic.
