Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Hong Kong filmmaker Cheung Hoi-ching produced and directed this outrageous, action-packed comic fantasy about a band of beautiful fairies called the Micro-Wave Group. Sharla Cheung and Vivian Chow star as the main fairies, Mandy and Tracy. Mandy's teacher was the leader of the Micro-Wave Group before being killed in a battle with an evil female demon named Twiggy (Mondi Yau). What Tracy doesn't know is that she is actually Twiggy's daughter and must be married to her paramour, Liu Chun (Ngai Chun), by a predetermined hour or an evil doorway will open and unleash the furies of Hell on the world. Liu Chun had left Tracy to hang out with the Truth Division, a group of men whose primary occupation seems to be voyeuristically spying on the Micro-Wave Group. Finally, after a number of bizarre set pieces (jumping child-vampires, a giant cockroach turning into a woman, and so forth), fight scenes, comic interludes, and even a vampire competition, the two groups join forces to fight Twiggy while Liu Chun and Tracy have sex to stop the gateway from opening. Stanley Fung co-stars with Billy Lau, who is transformed into a talking, bespectacled bar of soap.
