Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Philip Curtis (Richard Turner), a Mountie, falls in love with Josephine McCloud (Lucille Lee Stewart) and proposes. Instead of answering, she tells him he must find Peter God (Huntley Gordon), a hermit who has isolated himself in the far northwest woods. He tracks him down and finds out that he is married to Josephine. He also gets the whole story: The couple were separated when Lawlor, a vengeful politician (John Robertson) sent his mistress, Coralie DeGar (Virginia Norden) to destroy Peter's life. When Peter went to the politician's office, there was a struggle between the two men and Coralie. Both the politician and Coralie were mortally wounded, and Peter ran off. Before he died, the politician confessed everything, but Peter was unaware of this and believed he was being charged as a murderer. Curtis returns and tells Josephine of Peter's whereabouts, so the couple is reunited. This story was based on the novel Peter God by James Oliver Curwood.
