Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Some of Seattle's favorite tourist destinations are visited in this program that takes viewers to such sights as the Pike Place Market, the Woodland Park Zoo, and Tillicum Village. The zoo is home to rare birds, leopards, and many other exotic creatures. The Space Needle, which is 184 meters tall and offers a 360-degree view of the city, also provides a vantage point on clear days for taking in the beauty of Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, Lake Union, and the general downtown area. Open since 1962, the Space Needle continues to draw large crowds of tourists each year. The Seattle Art Museum, the Museum of Aviation, the Pacific Science Center, and Pioneer Square are among the many other featured sights.
