Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
In this low-budget silent Western, a cowboy (Bob Burns) looking for adventure saves a girl (Dorothy Donald) from being kidnapped by a gang of outlaws -- headed, as it turns out, by the cowboy's best friend. Desperate Odds was one of four Burns-Donald Westerns produced in 1924 by one of Hollywood's few women entrepreneurs, H. Jane Raum. The series had trouble finding a distributor, and the final entry, the still existing Jus' Travelling, was not released until 1927. Director Horace B. Carpenter also cast the brunette Dorothy Donald in several Bill Patton Westerns released by Chesterfield.
