Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
Two impoverished siblings are separated in childhood by their mother, who sent them to an orphanage so she could spend more time with her new lover and hopefully keep them from becoming vagrants like herself. The brother and sister end up separated for five years. When their mother dies, the two are granted passes from their different institutions to attend her funeral. Both run away from the authorities. This Greek drama follows their exploits. After the funeral, the girl sleeps with her mother's biker lover and believes herself to be in love. She spends the rest of her life vainly searching for him when not turning to petty crime, as does her brother, in order to survive.
