This video, produced by the Alfred Publishing Company, features one of its composers and clinicians, Dennis Alexander. The pianist taught piano and piano pedagogy for 24 years at the University of Montana. The video is designed to instruct piano teachers in useful techniques to improve the quality of their students' performances. Alexander works with four types of imagery designed to aid in artistic expression. These modalities are character development, storytelling, visual relatedness, and color. The imagery techniques are demonstrated by children at varying skill levels.
