Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
This documentary about China includes interviews with students who are predictably in denial that Chairman Mao Tse-tung could ever make a mistake. The Red Army is shown going through military exercises, and young students perform in an anti-American play. A Chinese Catholic priest explains why the faithful have broken away from the church in Rome and goes on to explain the curious paradox that allows the communist government to tolerate both Catholics and Buddhists. Although communism refuses to acknowledge the existence of God, the priest comments that the current system does not forbid the faithful to follow their spiritual pursuits.
