Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Honor (Peggy Hyland) is a good-hearted adolescent orphan. When Senator Stanley Middleton (Eric Mayne) has car problems, he happens on the home where Honor is telling stories to the children of an invalid neighbor. He's so touched by this scene that he adopts Honor and takes her home. After she is educated at boarding school, she falls in love with the senator's secretary, Chester Holbrook (Irving Cummings). Meanwhile, the senator's wife, Irma (Hazel Adams) is carrying on an affair with a German spy, Frank Schiller (Frank Goldsmith). When the senator comes home early one night, he sees a silhouette of two people embracing in his window. It was Irma and Schiller, but she tells him it was Honor. Rather than reveal that his wife is unfaithful, Honor keeps quiet and leaves. But the next day, she corners Schiller and calls the senator. He rushes over to Schiller's apartments, but so does his wife. In the ensuing fracas, both Schiller and Irma are killed. Honor marries Chester and they, in turn, "adopt" the widowed senator.
