Synopsis by Leslie Birdwell
From Season Two of Debbie Travis' Painted House, Episode 225 rusticates a living room with traditional country elements. The walls are painted to look like planks of wood with cream yellow, light green, plus a wood-colored paint of your choice. A dry-brush technique is used during the color-layering process to simulate wood. Debbie uses chicken wire as a stencil for an all-over hexagonal floor pattern, then paints in an alternating diamond pattern. A cute fire screen covers the fireplace opening and helps to pull the pieces together, along with a curvy wall-border near the ceiling.
