Synopsis by Leslie Birdwell
From Season Three of Debbie Travis' Painted House, Episode 321, Travis finishes the floors and creates just the right accessory for a plantation: a tray decorated with a pineapple motif. Not many can afford a real mahogany floor, but the look says "opulence." Floor preparation is important, and this floor is machine-sanded then finished by hand to get the best work-surface possible. Stain and stripe are added, followed by about four layers of varnish to finish it off. The tray is wooden, stained, and the designs painted with gold paint for a rich tone.
