Synopsis by Beth Deki
Designer Debbie Travis demonstrates how easy and accessible home decorating can be. Her techniques are designed for the do-it-yourselfer on a budget. Travis provides step-by-step instructions and lists all the necessary materials and tools to complete each project. In this episode of The Painted House, Travis begins by adding tinted plaster to the walls in two different colors. To add interest and character to the room, Travis demonstrates how to create shelves from old barn boards. After a good cleaning, she again makes use of the tinted plaster as her refinishing agent. The shelves are then hung and ready to display keepsakes.
