Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Helen Stevens (Corinne Griffith) is that classic movie heroine: the society miss who insists on making her own living. She chooses the life of a newspaperwoman and is befriended by the paper's star reporter Jack Rawson (Frank Thomas). When she is assigned a "missing girl" story, Rawson follows her into the slum area that she must investigate. However, he is drunk and winds up becoming a murder suspect. Helen saves his skin and solves the crime, all by her 11 p.m. deadline. To wrap it up, she and Jack become engaged, and it turns out that he, too, is a member of society, enabling her mother (Emily Fitzroy) to sanction the union.
