Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Heddy Honigmann and Noshka van der Lely collaborated on the writing, directing, and editing of this semi-autobiographical, feature-length film on two antinuclear filmmakers who need to find new inspiration in their work when the "high" of a major achievement has ended. The fictional women filmed the quite nonfictional, 1981 antinuclear protests in Amsterdam and after capturing the drama of the demonstrations on celluloid, they feel that both their efforts and the protests had come to naught. How they overcome these creative, post-partum blues is the essence of their story, quietly and modestly told.
