Vladimir Balco's Dazd Pada Na Nase Duse (The Rain Falls on Our Souls) is about an unusual friendship. Joko (Erik Olle) escapes from prison and steals a car in order to make a speedy getaway. Inside the car is 11-year old Kika (Kristina Svarinska), who is playing hooky. She decides to stay with the fugitive after he suffers an injury in a car crash. The odd pair attempts to make their way to Austria, while Kika is searching for guidance from above. The Rain Falls on Our Souls was screened at the Cottbus Film Festival.
