Writer-director David E. Talbert created this 2009 theatrical production, a stage musical mounted and performed at San Diego's Spreckels Theatre, that features performances by such notables as r&b icon Avant, actress Ellia English (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and American Idol finalist Trenyce Cobbins. Terry Dexter stars as Tyme Prentice, a woman struggling to choose between the arms of her on-again, off-again beau Marcelles Wynters (Morris Chestnut) and the affections of local delivery man Harvey (Andre Pitre). The cast also includes C.O.C.O Brown, Lyn Talbert, Jerell Roberts and Christi Dickerson.
