Synopsis by Janiss Garza

A wealthy, and very married, middle aged man (E.H. Calvert, who also directed) tries to take advantage of a girl from a poor family (Marguerite Clayton). The girl is engaged to a clerk, but her mother discourages the union because she wants her daughter to marry someone more well off. So the girl breaks up with her sweetheart and the rich man goes after her. The man's wife, however, figures out what's going on and adopts the girl. Then she makes sure that she is reunited with her sweetheart, thus foiling her husband. His mid-life crisis is still running amok, however, and it's obvious that it's only a matter of time before he finds another young girl to pursue. This picture was based on the play by H.S. Sheldon.
