Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
A. K. Kardar directs this melodrama about jealousy and sexual repression. When her rich colonial officer father (Sapru) adopts beautiful orphan Indira (Suraiya), eldest daughter Rani (Veena) goes into paroxysms of envy as her two brothers Raj (Raj Kapoor) and Kundan (Al Nasir) fall completely in love with the lass. Rani arranges for Indira to marry Ramash (Suresh), who just returned from a stint abroad. Both of Rani's siblings are crushed by the marriage, leading indirectly to an ugly accident involving Raj and the grisly death of Indira.
