A priest tries to saint a woman of dubious morals in this German comedy that pokes at the Catholic church. The priest has been assigned to prove that the recently deceased town slut, one of his former parishioners, did indeed perform miracles. The town recognizes her good works as a source of notoriety and income. The priest was in love with her. Though she slept around, this woman was also known for her good work in assisting illegal immigrants. The priest is looking for the truth about the woman. During his quest, he also finds more personal truths regarding his own beliefs and his life.
