Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Veteran Hong Kong filmmaker Chang Cheh directed this classic martial arts film from the Shaw Brothers studio. Lo Mang stars as Yang Tau-ying, who starts gathering his friends to seek revenge on the evil General Han (Wang Li) after the general has Yang's family murdered as part of a military coup. Yang soon realizes that the enemy is over ten thousand strong, so he valiantly decides to take them on alone, but his loyal friends steal some guns to help him. Their plan fails, as Yang is killed and the security guards at the military base his friends have infiltrated catch them before they can acquire ammunition. Determined to avenge Yang and his family, the survivors formulate a plan duping General Han into believing that he can get a thousand machine guns from them to defeat his enemies, only to trap him in the obligatory (but skillfully mounted) warehouse finale. Phillip Kwok leads a physically talented cast including Lu Feng and Chiang Sheng.
