In this classical performance release from 1991, pianist, maestro and humanitarian icon Daniel Barenboim teams up with the conductor Sergiu Celibidache, for interpretations of two key piano concertos by Johannes Brahms: Piano Concerto No 1 in D minor, Op. 15 (mounted and filmed at the Stadthalle Erlangen) and Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 83 (mounted and filmed at the Philharmonie in Munich). Klaus Lindemann and János Darvas share directorial duties.
