Stephanie Herman brings years of experience as a principal dancer for the likes of George Balanchine, Martha Graham, and Alvin Ailey to this ballet-influenced low-impact workout. In addition to her extensive dance background, Herman has also worked with the creator of Gyrotonics (described by some as Yoga with resistance) and with major Pilates practitioners. She combines elements of these disciplines to create a gentle system that tones muscles while increasing poise, grace, relaxation, and an overall body awareness. Workout segments include Alignment and Ballet Workout, Ballet Barre, and Body Flow Stretch. This program is suitable for beginners, with no dance background necessary.
