Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Abolfalzi Jalili directed this Iranian drama about nine-year-old Farhad (Farhad Bahremand). He works to support his junkie parents, but since they didn't get an ID card when he was born, he can't hold a job legally or attend school. His father, just before being put in prison, makes an application for Farhad's ID, but the card doesn't arrive. Put in a state dorm, Farhad runs away, surviving by working at odd jobs. Shown at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival.
