Former model Reed Howes portrays one of those action-craving debutantes popularized in the 1910s by Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. and later essayed by the likes of Billy Haines and Johnny Hines. In fact, Cyclone Cavalier bears more than a passing resemblance to The Crackerjack, made that very same year with Hines. Neither film has much to offer a modern viewer although both survive in decent condition and offer intriguing glimpses of Los Angeles and environs as they appeared in the mid-1920s. Watch for Sid Rogell, the brother of director Albert S. Rogell and a future B-Western producer in his own right, as the president's secretary.
