Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Gilbert (Edward Coxen) goes west on business, leaving his fiancée Eva Stanley (Enid Markey) behind. His jealous secretary, Marie (Clarissa Selwynne) intercepts Eva's letters, which leads to a split between the couple. Eva falls prey to the lecherous Spencer (Jack Standing), who seduces her and leaves her pregnant. She gets an illegal abortion from Dr. Burton (William Quinn), who aids only after Gilbert has come to him and begged for his help. Marie, who is furious that she has gotten nowhere with her boss, goes to Spencer's brother, an attorney (Raymond Nye), and as a result, Gilbert and the doctor are arrested and put on trial. They are convicted, but when Gilbert gets out, he marries Eva before she can get into any more trouble. The lawyer, meanwhile, discovers the guilt of his profligate brother.
