Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Manuel returns from 15 years in Cuba to his native Haiti in this melodrama. With the help of a divining rod, he finds a water source for the drought-stricken area. Manuel reveals his discovery to Anaisa, the pretty local girl he has a crush on, and he proposes an end to long-standing family feuds in exchange for revealing the location of the water. Anaisa's cousin Gervelin mortally stabs Manuel, and the dying man begs his mother to keep the details of his death a secret so that peace can be maintained.
