Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
This fictionalized historical drama relates the story of a guerrilla leader who fought the British colonialists against all odds. He had to face his Nigerian compatriots serving the British government as soldiers, and the flaws in the movement that was supposed to be backing his guerrilla activities. In spite of these serious obstacles and a lack of sufficient arms and means to defeat the British, the leader continues on in his fight. As a major battle looms on the horizon, it does not look good for his side in this freedom movement -- yet the final outcome will eventually be the withdrawal of British rule, and complete (official) independence on Oct. 1, 1960.
