Synopsis
Despite its singular title, the Spanish-Mexican Cronica de Familia concentrates on two Mexican families, both wealthy and powerful. The first is influential in business circles; the other pulls political strings. A fateful land deal brings the families together, first harmoniously, then decidedly less so. The film spare none of its characters in its probing of the corruption brought about by unquestioned power and influence. Cronica de Familia was bankrolled in part by the Mexican Film Institute.
