Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Poor little rich girl Jean Darling invites the scruffy "Our Gang" kids to her lavish home for an impromptu party. With her parents and the servants elsewhere, Jean allows the kids to roam freely throughout the mansion, little suspecting that her father had previously "booby trapped" the house for a nocturnal April Fool's Day celebration. Sure enough, all of Daddy's pre-arranged practical jokes are triggered by the bewildered kids ---and when the cops arrive, a spectacular surprise awaits them. Originally released on June 2, 1928, "Crazy House" is a rather pedestrian "Our Gang" silent entry, though the film ends on one of the most pleasing slapstick images in the entire history of the comedy series.
