Synopsis by Sarah Ing
PBS presents a multi-generational look at the life of a rough rider in Cowgirls. The short documentary follows the trail of three separate families as they strive to maintain their trailblazing status. First up is Norma. At 60 years old, she has weathered the unpredictable and harsh conditions of life in the saddle. Her experiences attest to her rugged and enduring nature. Occupying the middle spot is Melody Harding, a ranch foreman who bucks expectations. Finally, Nondi and Cricket Long offer hope for the future of female ranching as their mother provides a cowgirl template.
