Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When Bradley (Harry T. Morey) travels from America to England, he meets and falls in love with Mercedes, the wife of the Spanish ambassador (Alice Joyce). The problem is that Bradley is married, which he doesn't bother telling his inamorata. He returns to the States, but is compelled to return to Mercedes. The ambassador finds them together and thrashes his wife, who leaves him. She and Bradley set sail for the U.S., and then he finally tells her he already has a wife. They land in Calais and she escapes from him, later entering a convent. Mrs. Bradley, meanwhile, has gotten a letter from her husband explaining that he has eloped with Mercedes and eventually she goes to France with her father. While there, she and her two children become ill and are tended to by a nun, who turns out to be Mercedes. She manages to get husband and wife back together, and Bradley only discovers her identity at the end.
