After being swept down the Mississippi River in a flash flood and seeking solace on a small island, two young siblings are pursued by a pair of ruthless river-men in director Stephen H. Foreman's adaptation of Chester Aaron's nature-adventure novel An American Ghost. As the children befriend a mother cougar and her newborn cubs while awaiting rescue, vicious poachers descend upon the island with a nefarious plan to kidnap the wayward siblings and score a hearty ransom.
