From the celebrated Kirov Ballet company comes this production of the romantic saga of Coppelia. Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's The Sandman, Coppelia chronicles the story of Swanilda and Franz, whose relationship is threatened after a doll-maker successfully creates a doll -- Coppelia -- with a soul of its own. Though Franz initially falls in love with Coppelia, he eventually comes to realize she is only a doll and tries to reconcile with Swanilda.
