In this series, writer, producer, and host James Burke guides the viewer through historical events and scientific developments. Connections 2: Deja Vu studies pirates and their gold hordes, the Spanish conquistador Pizarro and his effect on the Incan empire, smallpox, the Belgian stock market, military drills, Alexander Humboldt and geography, and the Nazis. Burke steps back and forth in time, and goes on location to film key sequences in the production of his lively series.
