Using his successful formula of various inventions plus events plus surprising connections that equal large impacts on modern society, Burke leads the viewer on a merry chase from spiritualism and belief in miracles, and ends with Sherlock Holmes. Along the way, he discusses thought transference, radio, Scottish rebels, and North Carolina pine trees, culminating in contextual perception which leads to Holmes.
