Synopsis by Kyle Lavigne
Two Polish musicians, Wiktor (Tomasz Kot) and Zula (Joanna Kulig) meet during auditions for a folk ensemble. Set during the 1950s Cold War, the narrative spans fifteen-years and navigates across four countries as the couple's love affair undulates throughout. After the group’s manager Kaczmarek (Borys Szyc) makes a controversial political decision, the lovers drift apart in this transient drama about love across all borders. Directed and co-written by Pawel Pawlikowski.
