As a hearing child of deaf parents, teenager Ruby Rossi (Emilia Jones) feels obligated to help out her family whenever she can, whether working at the family fishing business or acting as sign language translator. But when her personal life begins to flourish as she falls in love with a boy at her school (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) and her singing ability is noticed by her teacher, she struggles to balance her obligations with her true desires in this drama written and directed by Sian Heder. Co-starring Troy Kotsur, Daniel Durant, and John Fiore.
