Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Slowly but slowly, the best examples of the Iranian cinema began trickling into American art houses in the mid-1980s. Closed Circuit stars Habib Esmaeli as a middle-class middle-ager. Like Willy Loman, Esmaeli dreams of paying off his mortgage and owning his house outright; unlike Willy, Esmaeli lives to see that day. Now what? With his future secured, Our Hero begins reflecting on his past.
