Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Muriel Ostriche stars as Babette, a dancer with a travelling carnival. Babette's mother, fortune teller Zaidee (Catherine Calhoun), was once upon a time secretly married to the wealthy Ezra Butterworth (Edward Davis). When Zaidee passes on, Babette seeks out Ezra, but out of respect for his current wife she refuses to divulge the fact that she, Babette, is Ezra's daughter. Her silence is rewarded with a check, with which Babette purchases a farm as a wedding present for her sweetheart Pete (George Larkin). The authenticity of the carnival scenes more than compensated for the duller stretches of the plotline.
